Community rules

Operating draft for the founding cohort. Full legal terms remain on the Terms page. This is a respectful, fact-focused membership community — not a law firm.

1. Rule 1

   Be specific and constructive

   Name a concrete problem, support it with labeled sources/facts, and state a question or proposed research step. Pure outrage without a defined issue will be returned.

2. Rule 2

   No legal advice / no attorney-client relationship

   Peers may share general information and experience. Do not solicit or provide case-specific counsel. Participation does not create representation.

3. Rule 3

   Facts vs opinions

   Label documented facts (order, filing, transcript) separately from allegations, interpretations, and hypotheses.

4. Rule 4

   Protect privacy

   Do not post sealed records, juvenile-identifying information, unredacted personal data, medical details, SSNs, financial account numbers, or home addresses.

5. Rule 5

   Civility

   Critique systems, procedures, and filings — not people with insults, slurs, or threats.

6. Rule 6

   No illegality or violence

   No threats, doxxing, or encouragement of illegal acts.

7. Rule 7

   No spam or client solicitation

   No ads, lead-gen, or fundraising without admin approval.

8. Rule 8

   Honest roles

   Do not misrepresent credentials. Attorneys and clinic staff should disclose role context when relevant.

9. Rule 9

   Admin visibility

   You may use a public display name; admins must be able to reach the real applicant identity on file.

10. Rule 10

    Moderator authority

    Incomplete or non-compliant posts may be edited, returned, or removed. Repeated violations lead to suspension.
